ABOUT OUR FARM
Our Farm is at the top of one of the famous rolling hills of the Maremma region in Tuscany. It's an 8.5 hectares piece of land, just the right size for our Permaculture project of Regenerative Farming, of course organic! The idea of INSPIRA was born is to provide a sanctuary for those seeking a natural and rejuvenating experience, to relearn to live in harmony with the land. We aim to produce food, of course, but to do so respecting and supporting the health of the entire ecosystem, from soil and its microorganism, to the animals, insects, fungi and diversity they require to find their own equilibrium.
OUR PRODUCTS
Delicious and Organic
At INSPIRA, for now, we sell our Olive Oil and Lavender, and the rest of our production is mainly for our own consumption at our Farmstay. In some months, the extra produce will be available at the farm, fresh or processed to preserve.
Some of our products are still in planning phase. Once we set-up the new parts of the farm, they will be made available for sale directly at the farm (initially).

From healthy soil, to a food forest, natural bee keeping, our projects are as diverse as we can make them on this stunning piece of land we were lucky enough to find and call our home since January 2025.
Below find a quick overview and sneak peek to our main projects.
EARTH:
Make healthy soil
Creating a healthy soil is a vital component of our project. A soil rich in nutrients and microorganisms improves the health of plants and their yield, and also supports a biodiverse ecosystem. This project is ongoing at INSPIRA. Join us in making healthy soil or Terra-Preta through a special Permaculture humus that includes biochar! Whether for a day or during a visit to INSPIRA, just contact us for details.
PRODUCE:
Mandala Fruit and Vegetable Garden
Plant, grow or harvest in a circular, colorful, and highly efficient mandala garden, inspired by ancient traditions and permaculture design. Help us plant and maintain this rich vegetable, fruit & herb garden. This project is on-going! A second Mandala garden will be built in the near future (early 2026), in case you are interested in participating, just contact us!
EARTH:
Swales and terrain management
Managing the landscape to retain water and avoid erosion across our farm is of paramount importance! To do this, we use Keyline design and swales, a landscape design technique used to optimize the water resources of an area and to irrigate it, enhance deep water percolation, while preventing erosion and drought. Swales can also be a significant contributor to humus build-up, a blessing for any soil. You can learn about this technique and more at INSPIRA.
PRODUCE:
"Food Forest"
One of our main projects is to build a Permaculture and Syntropic Food Forest, that is: is a small eco-system of food production that aims to mimic what nature mostly tries to do with a piece of land: build a forest. The idea is to create a self-sustaining, resilient, and diverse environment that is designed to provide us with food and resources, as well as provide habitats to a large number of creatures, plants, microorganisms and fungi. In the end, we will support biodiversity and soil health, while producing food for the most part of the year. Come help us build it and maintain it.
FARM ANIMALS:
Build and convert Chicken coops
Help us create a permanent chicken coop, with a chicken playground and plenty of outdoor spaces. Or for a day or two, be part of a team converting a camping Roulotte into a mobile chicken coop for our terrain roaming Wyandotte chickens. Join us in Spring and Summer 2025.
FARM ANIMALS:
Naturalistic bee hive
Trying to stay as close to nature as possible and using respectful naturalistic methods (example on www.freethebees.ch), we need your help to build a bee haven near our flower meadows late Spring or early Summer 2025.
NATURE ART:
Install art structures with natural materials
Join the fun of creating inspiring and playful art installations in the woods and other parts of the farm using mainly with natural materials. Starting this Summer 2025, come create your own piece or art, or fairy corner, or just help us in creating one. Contact us for coordination.
